FAQ’s

Our groups are made up of  9- 20 people with the average group size being 16. We put a cap on the number of people for each trip to promote and cultivate a sense of community. Smaller numbers allow us to get to know each other at a more personal level and also easily assimilate into a local community.

1. No planning required (bag & passport icon).

We do the planning, so you don’t have to. We will pretty much do the research, “yelp” through reviews, handle logistics, activities and all tedious planning. Get your passport ready, where we can we’ll assist you with your visa process, thereafter, please, pack your bag.  

2. Curated itineraries: (to look for icon)

Chances are high that we have already explored your destination, so we will select memorable experiences, great activities, amazing food experiences and we will book these in advance to guarantee you get a spot. We also make sure we leave time for independent experiences. 

3. Sustainable tourism (to look for icon)

Taking into account current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, we put in measures such as using public or green transport to minimize carbon footprint and including activities that support local and indigenous people where to visit. 

4. Like-minded travel-mates

We have 3 categories; edu-travel, corporate travel for company/organizations, and join-a-group getaway. We differentiated our packages according to the different needs and like-minded-ness of each group.

1. Hassle-free. We plan, so you don’t have to. We take care of the boring work/procedures/logistics. Instead of spending time doing research, spending hours planning and dealing with visa applications. We take care of all of that on your behalf.  Hassle-free. We’ve already taken care of the logistics so you don’t have to spend hours planning or waste your vacation time dealing with unforeseen issues, spending money you didn’t budget for, or stressing about, well, anything.

2. Fun. You will spend time exploring a foreign country while getting to interact with people from different walks of life. Spend time with a bunch of cool people your age. Try it. 

3. Insider knowledge. We usually take you to places that we have explored been so that means we often have background knowledge. We work in collaboration with the locals and that gives us insider knowledge; the best spots, local scene, where and what to eat. This means you won’t spend a lot of time on Google, Yelp and TripAdvisor. 

4. A travel party. Solo travel is good, but, travel is way better with a crew. We know how hard it is planning to travel abroad with friends, trying to sync your schedules, personalities and budgets, this’ often frustrating. Joining one of our TGG trips means you get to be part of a travel party with people you share  common interests with.

You get to travel with up to 15 people in one group. Often around sharing common interests, all open to meeting new people, exploring the world and having a good time. 

5. Flexibility. TGG allows you to travel within a group and in a flexible manner. Incorporated within your itinerary, is downtime. The downtime can be used to explore more of the city you’re in or take a rest. There is no pressure of having to do everything with the group during your free-time, you can choose to venture out on your own or explore the city. 

6. All our packages come standard with travel and medical insurance including Covid-19 cover.

Each trip page has a breakdown of what is and what is not included. In general, the trip price includes accommodation, in-destination transportation, mentioned activities, daily breakfast. The number of lunches and dinners will be stipulated.

Some of our trips ‘may’ include flights. For adult groups, we prefer that each participant books their own flight that allows for flexibility and freedom to choose what works best for them. Some people prefer to travel overnight, choose the cheapest flight, travel on business class or make use of their miles and possibly stay longer than the group visit. However, for travel of minors, our packages include flights.

  • No, our trips are not luxury, however they are not budget trips either. We’re in between  the two.  We have enough experience to know when it makes sense to save and when an experience is worth splurging on. 
  • We consider our trips to be affordable. If our trips cost more than other operators, it maybe because we have included extras.  We do our best to offer good levels of comfort.

  • You’re not open to cultural differences.
  • You’re high maintenance, and struggle to co-exist harmoniously in the spirit of community.
  • Your opinion is of more importance than every other person’s.  Your opinion trumps everyone
  • You are always right, and you know everything.
  • You have seen it all and you have been everywhere. 
  • You have trouble handling your alcohol (Should you are above the minimum drinking age of the destination country).
  • You have severe social anxiety.
  1. Once you fill out the booking form and pay your deposit, you will receive confirmation.  
  2. We will confirm your booking via email and someone from our team will follow up with a personal email welcoming you to the trip and detailing next steps. 
  3. Thereafter, we will give you details you may need in order for you to choose a flight, when and where you must be to meet the group on the first day. We advise that you not book your flights until you get the green light from one of our team members. 
  4. Four weeks before the trip, we will send you a detailed trip guide with hotel information, a suggested packing list, and some other useful tips.
  5. A week before the trip, we will add you to a Whatsapp or Telegram group with other travellers and the trip leader will lead the conversation with everyone on the trip so you can start to connect!
